I bought this soft top / hood and I was told it was for a Triumph Spitfire. However, after further inspection it cannot be as the size is wrong.

I believe with its interior thorn finish and heat-branded vinyl windows, this is an original part.

Does anybody recognise it?

Which model of Spitfire did you buy it for? For example a MkIV cover won't fit on a MkIII frame and vice vesa.

Hi Ian,
Thanks for getting back, I have draped it over a Midget to see if this helps identify it. The side windows are quite heavily raked compared with the Midget if that makes sense.
These last 2 pictures show the unidentified soft top next to a Spitfire Mk 3 hood.

I did wonder if it was a MkIII hood which you bought for a MkIV or something.

With the help of Google I'm trying to find something similar, could be TR6 but it still doesn't look right. It's the square corners to the rear screen which are bugging me.

From those pictures it appears its definitely not a TR6 hood as they have a button pocket across them about ½ way from windscreen to top of rear window...perhaps a TR3 or 4?
