The painted wires on my Healey always let the car down. Any tips and tricks for keeping them looking good ?

Toothbrush and time.

Gave up meticulously cleaning the wire wheels on my car after doing it once.

If they let the car down due to just being dirty, as a first step I would try something like Muc-Off and a soft brush but really you need a hosepipe to wash off so depends where you live at the moment. That would deal with general grime quite quickly and easily and should get them presentable.

If dealing with brake dust you might need something more aggressive and if dealing with rust then there is pretty much no fix.

About 20 years ago I painted my slightly rusty wire wheels. Took about a can per wheel due to all the gaps between the spokes hehe

I've since had them powder coated.
