Ford Pilot 1943, garage help

You could try NAMCO in Camberley.

Although its not an American car per se, they know their way around flathead V8's, and 30's and 40's era US Ford's, which is what the pilot is based on.
I'm guessing your thread title of 1943 Pilot is a typo, and should be 1948(?) as the Pilot was made between 1947 and 1951.

TI Developments in Westbury look after both my classics, and do great work across a wide range of makes. Admittedly they are a bit further than 80 miles out, but there's a direct train to/from London (about 1¼hr) a short walk from their workshops. I've known the owner almost since he was the apprentice and then mechanic at another classic car garage 20 years ago; he set up his own place about five years ago and is doing really well.
