Finishing up a LOOOONG term restoration of a '74 saloon, and REALLY struggling to find some headlamps and assorted trims bits.

Any PHers have a dead one lurking at the bottom of the garden?

Pic stolen from motorbase.com, btw...ours is a little further away from completion!

ETA: Note to self....always double check Ebay before posting....

Yay! I had one just like it, a 73 2300, mine was burgundy and rust coloured. I had to scrap it when a core plug went and I ran out of DIY talent trying to strip the engine down to get to it without lifting the engine out.

Do I have duplicates of all your old fleet? First the SD1 Vitesse, now the Victor? wink

Ahh, the 'Transcontinental' FE range - I remember when these first appeared - always have thought they look great.

I had a Ventora like this:

A real performer in its time, although the handling was a bit interesting. Sadly I rotted away far too easily. I really enjoyed it though, lots of grunt, overdrive, etc The only problem was the "Blockheads" and "Pimp" comments you got from driving an orange car with a black vinyl roof smile

...I wonder what lime green and black vinyl will elicit...

Quite probably!

Well, I bought the headlights, indicators and trim. Now the list is getting shorter:

Door arm rests (black), parcel shelf (black), headlining, washer jets(!)...

Have you tried posting on the Droop Snoot forum and the Vauxhall Viva Owners Club forum, as there is a lot of crossover of clubs.

I always liked the look of them. Of course, the best ones were always sideways around a track, plastered with DTV, and a large chap called Gerry Marshall at the wheel...

Hmmm. Is there a Victor with DTV stickers on it?

Hi,

Well I might be crazy, but at this time I have few FE-series Vauxhalls. About 14 of them. So if someone need Victor parts, I think I have... lol Well actually I would like to buy Ventora Back seat and some other details, if anyone have, please contact me. I will come billing in july 2008 and I would like to meet other FE owners.

DAMMIT.

Does anyone know if it is possible to modify or convert sealed beam units to take H4s? Looks like they are no longer as sealed as they should be...
