Hi

Does anybody know if there are any petrol stations out there who still supply leaded petrol? In particularly in the west lancs area?

The last place I know that sold it was a texaco in southport but this has since closed down.

Cheers

Google says - http://www.leadedpetrol.co.uk/

"LANCASHIRE
There are currently no petrol stations stocking genuine leaded petrol in this area"

Try www.tetraboost.com instead. They sell Tetra Ethyl lead additive so you can make your own 4 Star.

I use tetraboost. Good stuff but not nice to get on your hands.

My dad has 12 classics in his wedding business ranging from 1930's Armstrong Siddeleys, classics from 50's and a mid 80s merc sl. He has run them all on unleaded for about 10 years and many thousands of miles and not one problem due to the fuel. He puts in 1/2 the required measure of the castrol octane stuff and they are all fine.

Do you really need 4 star?

Obviously not if you use an additive but if you don't, you do.
