new Jim Clark tv programme coming soon on BBC4

Evening all, this is my first post here, although I've been lurking for a little while. I do hope this ok posting this here.
Last night I went to the preview of this programme in London. Brought to us by the same team that gave us 'Graham Hill-Driven' last year, it's another superb production by Mark Craig and Mark Stewart Productions.
(the same company was behind last weeks' Maharajah's Rolls-Royce programme).
This documentary contains a wealth of rare film clips, including much footage supplied by Jim's family.
Contributors include Jim's sister Bettie, John Surtees, Sir John Whitmore, Sally Swart, Ian Scott-Watson, Dan Gurney, Parnelli Jones, Andy Granatelli, Bob Dance, Cedric Selzer and of course, Jackie Stewart.
It looks like it will transmit over the coming Easter Weekend, very probably Easter Monday evening, and if it gets a big enough viewing figure, a repeat on BBC2, which would be fab.
The programme is a fine protrait of the man and quite emotional at the end.
Please tell all your friends about it, not to be missed, believe me!

Jim Clark is one of my automotive heroes. If there's any footage of him at Monza in '67, driving full tilt in his mighty '49; one of my life's small ambitions would have been met.

I think there is some footage of Monza 1967 in the programme. Probably his greatest drive.

Thanks for getting back... and with good news. Undoubtedly his Monza drive for me in '67 rates with Moss in the Mille Miglia. I've had to rely on my only Jim Clark DVD 'Champion' (which is very good) as I wasn't even born when he raced; a new documentary on the great man is long overdue.

Can't wait.

I can tell you that the programme includes much previously un-seen home movie film, mainly provided by the Clark (and me!) but also some un-heard audio recordings made by Graham Gauld in 1965 when he was working together with Jim on his autoboigraphy - very interesting clips!

Just found out the schedule times for three motorsport programmes on BBC4 over the coming Easter weekend. The first two are repeats (and are fab), the Jim Clark is the new production.

Have just heard from the production company that the BBC have now cancelled both the Graham Hill and Jim Clark programmes, but the Jackie Stewart programme will defintely go out. It may be a postponment of only a week, but we'll have to wait and see. Apologies for that.

Thanks for the notice of the changes. I saw the Graham Hill one on ESPN Classic a few weeks ago. Recording the Jackie Stewart one this weekend. The Jim Clark one isn't showing on Sky + yet, so I will have to wait and see when it shows. Thanks again Gary.
