Tatton Park Classic Car Show 2009 (picture heavy)
Discussion
Some pictures from the Classic Car Show at Tatton Park, taken this morning. I did not try to photograph all the cars, just the ones that interested me. In a lot of cases, I am not even sure what make they are, apologies. I was only there for the morning of day 1, I am sure many more interesting marques arrived after I left.
There were also 3 or 4 Trade stands that interested me, I have posted them up here too, as others may find them interesting or useful.
The trade stands were closest to the entrance, so the sequence of pictures shows my progress around the show, rather than grouping the pictures by manufacturer or date of manufacture.
By and large though, the exhibitors tended to group their vehicles by manufacturer or car club anyway, so there is some sort of continuity.
The first trade stand of interest that I came across was this one selling car covers for around £30 – 40. I have relatives who live on the South coast, and whenever I go to visit, invariably my car gets covered in Seagull (or albatross?) poo, one of these covers could possibly be a worthwhile investment. I did not get to speak to the stand’s owner to see if he had a website, but his contact details are plainly visible in the photo.

This guy was selling leather cleaner and feed, it is nicely packaged, and reasonably priced. Good for the home, or the car. His supplier's website is www.leather-forever.net

I was not aware that there was a market for classic oils, and I do not fully understand how the new oils do not do what the older ones do/did, but classic oild are still being produced and sold, so I guess that there must be some logic to it. Website details within the photo itself.

Cartec car polish, wax, acid free wheel cleaner etc. Quite big in Holland apparently, and should provide some competition to the likes of Autoglym etc. His website is www.onlineshine.com

Nice old family car, Morris Isis

BMW Convertible, obviously

Don’t remember what this is

Nice old Caddy

An even nicer old Citroen

A ford V8

Some tasty Cobras

A tatty old Rover, I quite liked this model though, nicely proportioned

The arse end of a Rover convertible. I don’t know if the convertible was a factory option, but it was rather well done, Better than the front, IMO

Sunbeam Alpines, possibly

There were a couple of these Dormobiles, both very nice

The Studebaker was impressive

A Vauxhall Victor

A nice old 1500 Cortina Estate. The owner was nice and chatty.
My best mate’s mum had one of these when I was a kid. She took us on holiday in it. The only bit I remember about the holiday was her reversing back up the freeway a few hundred yards after missing the turn off. Scary stuff.

Looks rather similar to this

I had the good luck to dive a few xj220s over the years and I think they drive as good as they look even on a long trip, comeing back from Jersey getting the car off the boat in a storm the crew told me to just go for it,when the boat came down and the load ramp went level they shouted out go inside the car I could not see any of what was going on so just held my beath and went, good timeing or good luck or a bit both we were off with no damage. The rest of the trip to Chelmsford was a joy,a lovely car to drive.
