I hope that the PH collective can help me out here? I am restoring a 220S Ponton and need lots of spare parts, i have done the usual ebay and Google searches but wondered if anybody knew a decent firm that may be able to help out with my shopping list? Any replies would be great, thanks in advance.

I can strongly recommend both Brian Gunney at http://www.redcastleclassics.com/whoWeAre.htm

and Mervyn Wright at Jacksons of poole who are a main dealer http://www.mercedes-benzofpoole.co.uk/

If you can't get your parts from them, they probably don't exist!!!

Another vote here for Jackson's - dealt with them many years ago when I was the parts manager in an MB dealership - you'd be amazed what you can get from MB with a little help / persistence. biggrin

I used to work for Brian and Simon at Red Castle, yes they've always got Ponton bits around. And another shout out for Mervyn at Jacksons too, he knows old Mercs inside out.

Walt at mercedes Benz classic had a lot of Ponton parts too. I think he sold out recently though
