http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monte_Carlo_Rally#Pas...

think you'll find all that you're after on above link...though the 1966 results are false due to ACM 'fixing' the results to benefit Citroen and of course; La France!!

I don't now about an online resource but by far the best book for this information is a two volume set Le Rallye Monte Carlo 1911 - 2000 by Maurice Louche. It was quite expensive!

Are you looking for anything specific in that time period as I do have the book and other resources with Monte Results in.

A quick flick through the results, shows the car entered and finished the 1959 event.

It was entered as a Fairthorpe Electron Minor. Had the start number of 206 and started from Paris. Engine capacity was 948cc.

Hope that helps!

Rather than start a new thread - can anyone help with info on car number 153 (Morris Mini) competing in the Monte Carlo, 1966? I've turned up a photo of DOX 352C, but know nothing of the car's spec, driver/co-driver etc and wondered if anyone can help??

Thanks :-)

RJ

I looked in my old copies of Motor Sport for Feb/May 1966 and for the life of me can find not a reference to the Monte Carlo at all. Very strange.

During those days I think it was known as a number of different things. Off the top of my head they called it:

ACM Rallye Historique
Rallye Historique (not very descriptive that one!)
RMCH

The car used a Triumph Herald 948cc engine. Unsure whether it was the 'standard' single solex carb saloon or the twin carb SU engine from the coupe.
The lightweight car twinned with the TC coupe engine would have been a good combination.
