My father used to have one (well before my time!)

Nice looking, but that's as far as it goes....

Seem to remember Stirling doing well in one in the Monte Carlo. They were quite a car in their time, and insurers considered them a "sports car" and loaded the premium.

I think it was called a Sunbeam Alpine, the Talbot name was for saloons.

Definitely named Sunbeam Alpine, and a slow, ponderous thing it was even by the standards of the time.
