Why Don't They Make Concept Cars Like This Anymore?

Of course, Chrysler can barely afford to stay in business...but how about the other companies? This one's nearly half a century old and I still like it more than 99% of the recent concept cars!

Can you image driving that on the road?
if the suspension gave more than about 1/2" of wheel travel the tyres would make contact with the bodywork. I know the modern style is to forget that the role of suspension is to isolate the occupants from the road surface but that is just daft.
