EMIL SUVUNDRA S -- ASTON DB6 ( DUBONET ROSSO )
Discussion
In the late 60s a pal of my late Father bought the above Aston DB6 , shortly after Dr. Savundra was imprissoned . ( Insureance Fraud ) I beleive he died in Prison, ?
I remember it v well, abs Stunning Colour and car, his wife used to drive it, but he went and had it Resprayed an Awfull Bright Red, which abs ruined it.
I often wonder what became of it . Anyone know if it has survived ?

I think it did have abs in those days. Sadly, it has become rather pot-bellied now.
no abs, but they did have front seats. Also along the death line, my great grandad (whom I never met) died sometime before the DB6 was launched. Not in prison, but in London.(is anyone else confused by this thread??)
Emil Savundra was imprisoned in 1968, released in 1974 and died in 1976 due to diabetes and an addiction to pain-killig drugs.

His business activities make interesting reading, particularly in the area of car insurance!

I was working as an insurance broker in the day and Savundra ran Auto Fire & Marine Insurance. It was a complete fraud, as was the company I was working for as it turned out. My employer was Andrew & Booth which was a subsidiary of Vehicle & General which also went bust big time in 1970 I think.
