Wait till you give a six year old girl a right earful... And that's the retort.

Easy way for a child to earn an early night

If you put “lush” in there, it would be one of our office assistants usual conversations.

In the building trade there is a corker. If you go home a little early you will hear..."what's this, half day?"
I just ignore it now.

I'm loving doing this.

YOU WHAT ?

Its "I love doing this", always has been and always will. Stop speaking as if you're trying to impress me with your 'I'm modern' phrases.

People who study words (is it etymologists or do the study beetles?) claim that "Whatever!" was introduced into use in the context under discussion here by one Bart Simpson. Apprently no record of it's use in the dismissive sense previous to one in an early Simpsons episode.
