I really do hope so!

I was going to call this thread 'Dog Sh*t' but thought the mods would get me.

In the week my wife took my two sons (aged 3 and 6 months) to a friends house with my eldest sons bike in the car. Had a great time there. Put bike back in car to find that the wheels are covered in dog sh*t.

It makes me mad, it's hard enough looking after two children with all their stuff without having to contend with the 'hazards of the pavements'

So to my thread title, if you do and you don't, please think and do.

Thanks.

Couldn't agree more.

It's disgusting and hazardous.

I like dogs, but if you choose to own one you have an obligation to clean up after it.

Of course the sector of the population that will happily let their dogs shit anywhere are exactly the same sector of the population that you will never manage to get to clean up anyhow...

As a dog owner with two dogs who does, I probably get more p*ssed off than non dog owners about this. It doesn't take much effort, especially when the council take the trouble to provide bins.

Round my way they even provide "scooper bags" alongside the bins. And still ignorant owners leave their filth behind.

as a dog owner I agree fully ... peple should clean up after their dogs.
If ours goes next to some "poop" that had been left, I usually scoop up both.

However to digress a little ... The people down the road have a cat that persists in sh1tting in my garden... im thinking of inviting them up to clean up after tiddles too

Funny this, a dog craps on the pavement, and the owner is expected to clear it up. Cats crap in your garden, and the owner is blameless.

Dog owners, please train your dog to crap in cat owners gardens.

Thank you.

Same reason that (I believe) you never actually 'own' a cat. It lets you look after it, whereas you do legally own a dog.

But cats do a tiny, bijou little poo and bury it neatly near the root system of a nearby plant, so that next year it will flourish and bear fruit.

Dogs just heave a feckin great turd wherever they happen to be - then leave it for adults to skid in and kids to eat

Owners of horses should also have to clear their crap off the road as well

Solved the cats crapping in the garden with a cocktail of pepper spreading and the jet wash on full blast. Well it's either that or let the dog shred em!

Once I politely asked a rather reasonable looking gentleman to clear up after his dog that had just st on the pavement in the middle of a busy town.

He stood there whilte the dog did it then just walked off with the dog

He turned round and, I quote, told me to "F off and mind my own fking business and people "like me" should be fking shot...."

Oh well

So that's why you see them with lolly sticks in

Cats bury their poo? Humm, perhaps leave it with a light covering of surface dust for you to tread in. I don’t think they are burying it as much as camouflaging a trap!

And it may be bijou but it has taken cats years to perfect that concentrated blend; part toxic waste / part Velcro (and with the most evil smell!).

Any owner (cat or dog) that doesn’t pick up its crap should be tarred, feathered and beaten through the streets naked.

I always carry nappy sacks - just the right size (for a spaniels offering anyway).

Which just goes to prove dogs have the better sense of humour

People often use an alleyway near my flat as a cut through when walking their dogs and the last few weeks there has been dogshit all over the pavements. It's disgusting, especially as there are children playing in that area too.

Less than £1 for 300 perfumed nappy bags at my local discount shop.

Big enough for any dog!

I also collect broken glass. Most of my local dog walkers have had a visit to the vet with cut paws.

Mind you I do walk my dog at 6am so I am not seen by many people when collecting the broken glass!

My neighbours already think I am strange!

Mad woman with big dog, and that funny sports car.

If he'd spoken like that to me I'd have picked it up and thrown it at him.

This (picking up after) was one aspect of dog ownership that I was little bit unhappy about, having only ever had cats before. But you soon get used to it. Having said that, we have a whippet who lays little neat dog-eggs not unlike a cat's. I'm not sure how I'd feel picking up Great Dane logs.

As a cat owner how the hell are you expected to follow your cat around when it goes out to pick up its cr@p, which incidentally, is 99% of the time done on gardens and buried? Cats are independent animals and will wander around for hours and unlike dogs cannot be trained to stay within certain boundaries. Or is it feasable that I go out in the hours of darkness when I get home and, whilst making dinner, follow my cat over fences into neighbours gardens with bag in hand waiting for it to take a dump?

well cats most definitely CAN be trained to stay within boundaries. fiance has a number of cats which stay within the farm boundaries and never go further.

if they are trained to use a litter tray when they are kittens then they will get used to it and only s*it in it, never anywhere else.
