I Pod Problems

Apart from the fact that sony audio stuff uses a crappy unrecognisable audio compression format that needs loads of even crappier sony software to upload the files to the player.
Why not try Creative products? Like the Zen? They playback all the major formats. (WMA, MP3, WAV and some others).

Not any more!
The new NW-HD3 can play MP3, WMA (non-encrypted) and WAV format natively, as well as Sony's own ATRAC3 format.
The only pisser for me is they released it one month after I bought the ATRAC3-only NW-HD1...

Waiting for mine to come back for the 3rd time! Click wheel stopped doing anything, before that the screen kept freezing and before that there was a problem with the memory and it kept losing the songs.
Incredibly annoying, if I hadn't coughed up for all the in car bits and a load of other things for it, I'd say stuff it and buy a Zen - friend at uni has one and rates it v highly.

We were going to go down the I-Pod route for my kids for Christmas and having taken a look at one that a friend has and listened to his gripes we bought a Zen Touch and a Zen Micro for them..... lovely little things.
