Maybe not for you mate, but our ITV 1 (Scotland) is on the blink and they are based there (or so the wife tells me). We are knee deep up here in the Scottish Borders. Still, washed the salt off the roads.

On the A69 outside Haydon Bridge articulated wagons are up to their cabs in water, Carlisle is completely cut off, Corbridge is flooded badly...

My sister and her husband live near Carlisle Infirmary and they are stuck there with no electricity, power or anything.

Back in my parents house in the peak district. Might be bloody cold and windy but at least we're dry. Lived in york for a few years and got flooded out 3 times Its a complete nightmare.

I can tell you that Carlisle, Keswick, Kendal in particular are most unpleasant paces to be at the moment. Never seen so much rain and known such ferocity in the wind before.

Just glad I did not have to go to work today!

Lived in Carlisle for 3 years, luckily most of my friends are out of there. Strange to see houses where i went to parties etc, under water.
