Has anyone tried it? and if you have, does it work?

There's an event at Uni in a few weeks after exams finish, it's £2 entry and free drinks all night!

Is it worth going for the dates, or shall I just get a few free beers?

Any thoughts?

I've been tempted, but arn't they all professional types, you know accountants and so on? If so, I think I'd pass.

Yeah, go for it. If it's a uni event, it could be a bad idea though.

Starts off as a theme night and after a certain time, everyone comes in anyway. My uni ball was the same. I busted my ass to get my dinner suit sent up from Cornwall>Newcastle and then everyone wore bloody jeans and came in with their mates........

What's your subject? Do you suffer from "There are no birds on my course" syndrome?

Nah I am doing Geography, plenty of birds, just fancy the easy life for a bit, a little less legwork and a bit of a laugh!
Speed Dating seemed to be a good way to go.

Bloody Geographers! Field trips everywhere. I reckon the geographers have it marginally worse than the flakey subjects.

My bunch had the opportunity to go to the Teeside Sewage Works.

Still, I used my time wisely. You only get one shot at uni and you have to nail as many birds as possible. Trust me, I look back and think, I could have had more birds unlike Mary Poppins, but I put in a bloody good effort.
