Discussion
Having just taken delivery of 1004 litres of Heating oil from our regular supplier.....
We have just recieved the invoice.
£287.23
Thats unit value of 27.3 pence / litre...
We had 941 litres delivered 8 months ago...
£186.25 at unit price of 18.85 pence / litre
What a Bl00dy rip off.
Whats that... nearly 50% increase for fuel....

What are you guys paying....?
I can feel a phone call coming on...

Rip-off Britain, Number 45 I think.
Things like that make me feel like becoming more like Fred Dibnah, get a steam engine (burn natural, free fuel or waste products from gardens) and use it to power a generator to produce electricity and pipe the excess steam off into conduits (like Roman hypercaust) for underfloor heating.

and the calorific value for chavs and lentilists is how much exactly? Its due to the big rise in oil prices over the period.
You don't notice it with petrol/diesel because the fuel tax/duty/VAT makes the percentage increase appear quite small, but with fuel oil, without the huge tax, you see the full impact of the oil price.
Windmills, they're the answer... no, tidal power... no, eat lentils and harvest the natural gas byproducts...

Chav's would burn for longer due to the higher intake of lard so they would be the main fuel, lentilists would be better to get the fire burning quickly and fast because of the higher vegetable content.
