www.worldofwatches.com

I bought my Tag there and my mate (ginge) bought a seamaster there too.

Be wary though as your sometimes charged VAT and duty and that can push up but you still save. I managed to doge the tax as customs didn't check but my dad bought a Gucci from there for my mum and customs unfortunately opened and checked the item.

A big duty bill arrived shortly......

Worth the risk though and you still save on high street prices even if it doesn't go through!

You can get an automatic for around £800 off this site and it is better than the quartz!! But if you really want the quartz then they are about £600 here.

I've met plenty of auto owners, I prefer accuracy for daily use. I do love a nice Valjoux movement mind you

Well the Watchfinder site is really very good and that is quite a significant discount on the RRP so definately worth looking there.

Must have been a brave guy if he wanted to sell his Seamy to go on a trip. But I suppose it probably would have been the trip of a life time.

I know I wouldn't sell my Seamy for anything.

I agree that accuracy is a big problem when they're new. For some reason mine lost about 30s A DAY when new. Sent it back to Omega and told them how much time it lost and they tweeked it and now it loses about 0.5s a day, if that. For accuracy better than that you've got a get a quartz.

If you need the money you need the money and something had to go, he'd only had a few months, and only had a few weeks to find the money for the holiday
