I am looking for a pocket sized digital recording device suitable for sneaking into gigs for a spot of bootlegging (ssshhh don't tell anyone!) for my own personal listening pleasure.
I'm a few years behind the pace on technology on this one... Is a minidisc recorder still the way forward on this or is there something newer to the market that I haven't picked up on?
There seems to be loads of minidisc recorders on Ebay that go for about £25 or so, which sounds fine by me, but I suppose I'd splash more cash for something else if it's infinitely better.
Anyone else into this scene and is it worth getting a "better than the standard" mic, to ensure better quality?

It would be a tad difficult to pass that off as a walkman if you got caught
