After much agro and hassle have finally been able to download the 7500 unsolicited emails I have been sent by, in the main, one company and several responses back to them from similairly affected people.

It has taken about 4 hours to download them from the email account they were sent to and filter out genuine emails therin.

I am really annoyed about this, because the dates show it has been going on for well over 6 weeks.

Should I invoice the company for my time and effort?

I understand anyone can get caught out by a tech problem, but to let it go unresolved for so long is downright thick.

7500 spam emails in 6 weeks?

That's 1250 a week. Sounds about right for the average inbox these days, unfortunately.

Inbox rule..... For every e-mail from their domain, forward it to sales@theircompany.com ..... I'm sure they'll drop them, but you'll feel better.

Why not send em a vaguely worded invoice, some companies just pay up

Got back from 4 days in Rome last week to find 3750 spam emails in my spam killer.

(note to myself: I must stop signing up for this 'daily porn in the email') LOL
