Hi all

I took part in a programme filmed in August last year. The BBC are broadcasting it on Wed 02/02 at 8pm BBC 1 (prime time !!!!). The programme is "How To Sleep...Better". Presented by Robert Winston & all about people who have difficulty sleeping. I myself only manage between 2 & 3 hour a night. I may not get much air time (if any) as one of the crew told me they had 120 hours of footage that they had to reduce down to 90 mins !!!.
If you see an ugly guy with a "goatie" all dressed in black with electrodes on his head.....THATS ME !!!!
I was also interviewed on a bed, but so were many others, so that part might not make it (prob on cutting room floor, sob).
You may even see me on the trailers for the show as they used me in the background (most would say best place for me).
Look out for me.

Hi Tony

Simple answer....no. Didn't get finish any of the tests, kept calling me away for filming.
Still, being awake most of the night gives me time to read all the postings on PH so it's not all bad.

So are you permanently tired then, or is it simply that you can live with 2/3 hours sleep?

shame you didn't get to do what you intended....price of tele i guess (you superstars, you!)

No, not tired, seem to be able to cope quite well on 2-3 hours sleep. Does catch up with me about once a month. Get home from work, pass out in the chair about 8pm, nothing will wake me (kicks, shouts, 6 year old jumping up & down on me), wake at 5.30am, then back to 2-3 hour a night for the next month.....strange.

Christ, less therre's any downsides you haven't mentioned I dream of being able to do that.

Least I can work well on is 5 hours then a long kip once every few weeks.

Hi again all.

Sorry, was out & about last night so didn't get to switch on the P.C. at home at all. (Thing is I've done my back in at the moment so was up at the hospital most of the night, won't go into detail but on the mend now. Still managing to get to work so thats a bonus)

Get a second job? Already working 64 hours a week. Need some time at home to spend with my daughter & to work on the 924.

The down side is the "coma" state of sleep I go into once a month. My heart rate is on the slow side when I'm awake (had an op. on my arm not long ago under a local, alarm on the heart rate monitor kept going off as my rate was so slow) but when I have my monthly "pass out in the chair" it slows down a lot more. Bit worried I'll not wake up out of one of them!!!

Only a week to go now, hope you'll all be watching. Thats BBC 1 Wed 02/02 at 8pm.

If I have managed to avoid the cutting room floor, just a reminder, I'm the one with the goatie dressed in black.

Los

Thanks for asking about the 924. Think I've got all the parts I need now....just a matter of finding the time. I would be OK if I had a garage at home, I could work on it through the night, what with not sleeping. Having to do it at work when everyone else has gone home. Going to have another bash on Saturday.
