I'm looking to buy some aftershave, but haven't bought any for donkey's years as I tend to be bought it as a present. So, any recommendations? What floats you boat (aftershave wise, that is )?

Givenchy "Gentleman" has always been my favourite smell on a man.

Although Chanel's "Egoiste" is very nice too.

Chanel Egoiste Platinum seems to always be a winner with the ladies.

Ok not a lady but the girlfriend brought me Hugo Boss Dark Blue for Christmas which is very nice.

I've brought Joop previously on recommendation from my female housemates.

Also popular are: Tommy and Davidoff Cool Water.

There's also a nice Ted Baker aftershave. (Comes in a triangular prism shaped bottle)

In what way does the second statement contradict the first?

No it doesn't!! I wear Platinum a lot and no woman has ever said that to me.....

Other than that, the new Allure Sport is nice, as is the original Allure (bit sweet smelling for some).

Greg (sponsored by Chanel, apparently)

Quite!! Though I have never been told that I smelt like cookie dough! Though my ex and one of her friends admitted that one night at uni, they had tried to follow me round to smell it on me!
