Off on the annual ski extravaganza next week to Tignes - never been before.

Any recommendations for bars/clubs/(mountain) restaurants?

I have no idea which bit we're staying in, unfortunately...

if you get the chance ski to val d'isere, it didn't take that long if i remember and ski down la face as early as possible, about the most fun i've had skiing for a long time

To be honest all the bars and restaurants are really close together within the town itself, just wander around and you won't miss them!

And going through the Eye of the Needle is well worth a bit of effort, it's a black run but it's very wide. The Vallee Perdue (Lost Valley) is also spectacular. It's a very narrow gorge in the valley between Tignes and Val D'Isere. It's not for the faint hearted, and you need to check it's do-able (Or take a guide) but is absolutely the best thing I have done on planks (Ever)

I would be jealous, but I'm off to Les Arcs in 2 weeks

There's a club in Le Lac which I believe is a lap dancing place. Unforunately there were no girls working at the ridiculously early hour we arrived, but I can't think of any other reason for there being a pole on the dance floor!!
It's next door to the bowling alley IIRC

You must try this!

At Tignes and VdI, you're allowed to use Ski Bikes on lifts and pistes.

It's a while since I've been, but:

Skiing:
With Val d'Isere, there is absolutely tons. Make sure you try each area.
If the snow is good, do try the run down to the dam at least once. It can get a bit bumpy, but is quite nice.
Grand Motte is good for wide open motorways when the sun's out (not so nice if the wind's up).
And of course there's the central area between Val & Tignes. Try the OK run to La Daille (the World Championship downhill run). The Face de Bellevarde (Olympic run) is fantastic, if tricky. Once in a blue moon they piste it - if you catch it, just spend the day on it. It may have changed, but the entry to La Face used to be hard to find (which was good as it was usually quiet). It's higher than you think, and above the restaurant.
You can even ski the Solaise on the far side of Val. Worth a morning, but plan your route to get there quickly, then work your way back. It's quite a nice feeling to start the day getting to the top of Solaise glacier, then reach the dam for a cheeky Choco (on the far side of a huge ski area) before getting home.

Nightlife:
The trick we learned about Tignes is that there is just one bar to visit. The problem is that it's a different bar each night. It seems to work by one bar reaching critical mass, then everyone else comes in. The next night it could be empty. Expect nothing, be willing to wander

Just got back from Tignes - we were in Val Claret, I reccommend "Crowded House" as a nice pub.

For skiing - try the gysepy run - lovely run, but a few flat sections so a bit of a pain on a snowboard.

I mostly stayed on the base slope that's free as I was just learning - I crashed into the ski lift support pillars several times - once in front of a whole ski school
