I have had tight muscles for as long as I can remember. I seem to constantly have to stretch to retain a reasonable degree of movement in my joints. To give you some idea of how my muscles like to tighten, I lost 2" out of a leg in a prang and twenty years later, even that hamstring is tight.
Is there anything around that I can take to help stop my muscles shortening? Or does anyone have any top tips to effective stretches. I'm bored with stretching beyond belief!

never tried it but they tell me pilates is very good for this sort of problem.
Absolutely fantastic for it, plus you end up with core muscle like nothing else and increased presence because of the way you now stand.
I always thought Pilates were something in the blood.

Would recommend Pilates.
The classes are a bit strange though (whale music etc), but well worth persevering. The blurb is that it lengthens muscles and you will feel taller/leaner.
I'm only 5'2" so they had their work cut out
