I'm after some sterling silver cufflinks, similar to these:

I'd like the actual bar to be more cylindrical. I've checked the full Georg Jensen catalogue, they don't have what I'm after. Tiffany is getting too Chav for words.

Any suggestions?

A good jeweller will be able to make you a pair, or stamp an existing pair with a hallmark.

I think Gucci did a pair last season.

Can't stand Gucci, sorry. I just think "Chav" with their stuff as well - same old story really, expensive designer brand gets adopted by said Chavs, and image (IMHO) goes rapidly downhill.

PINK

I've got a pair of gold cufflinks from there... in the shape of a gold bar.

Lovely cufflinks

I have the gold version of:

Cheers rico - I've had Pink shirts in the past, had forgotten they did cufflinks too. They may be the ones.

Knowing Lizzie Duke, they're probably £9.99 each, not per pair...

dual purpose then, can also be used as a tasteless 'bling' button hole type lapel badge thingy!

So you think a Gucci suit or shoes are Chav?

I always thought it was how said clothes where worn and if they are fake. Normal Chav wears a ton of fake crap. Celeb Chav wears the real stuff but is very OTT, eg Gucci shirt, Gucci Belt, Gucci Suit and Gucci Watch etc.. etc..!

I may be flamed for this, but I honestly think some of the newly designed Burberry stuff that was in last months GQ looked quite smart, their suits look great!!

Edited to add I don't mean tracksuit!

Burberry do some great clothes. Of course they do a lot of their trademark tartan clothing, but they also do a lot of subtle and unrecognisable clothing that no-one would know was Burberry. The quality is very high as well.

some would say that having the hallmark visible on the bar is a bit like leaving the label on the sleeve of a suit....bit chavtastic imo.

Agreed, very bad taste.
Don't laugh but I have found a method to obtain unique, quality cufflinks. First browse through ladies earrings on ebay, then select some that would look good as cufflinks take them to a goldsmith and have them converted. If you choose the right designs it works well.
