Well, the English won that match, and deservedly so - well done chaps!

I now need a little catharsis, and PH is as good as I can do, since no-one else in my household is much of a fan.

The match could have gone any one of many ways, but it was Trescothick's brilliant 5th-morning knock and Hoggy's inspired spell later that killed SA. I believe we threw it away in our selection - how much longer can Dippenaar keep his place? Also, old Ray Jennings didn't help his team by clobbering Smith in practice either ;-)

But all in all, a great match from both teams and lovely to watch.

Roll on the last test!

as the players werent kicking the ball and falling over faking injury, not that many people will be too interested, but at long last we have a sports team to be proud of, so you'll be able to read all about it (no doubt just one column) near the back of the sports section of your average daily rag, but you'll have to hunt through reams of girlie ball kicker tosh first.

That Jennings has got a screw loose hasn't he? What did he say about Jaques Kallis: "I'm going to make him or break him". He's only the best player in the world, without any help from Jennings.

I'm always very nervous of coaches who seem to want to be more famous than the players. Bumble was just the same and he was a disaster as a coach. (IMO)

Looking forward to the lads wrapping things up 3-1 in the final test.

Oh I don't know, Jennings did try to break Smith by getting a cricket ball to hit him on the side of his head in practice and knocking him out. Then made him by getting the best innings out of him so far this series.

Roll on the 5th test.

ST, sounds like you need the Torygraph - fantastic cricket coverage (usually front page of the sports section) and usually courtesy of Derrick Pringle (great sports writer IMHO)

Agree with Zaktoo - great match, but a real surprise result!

Thanks for the tip, I had given up with papers, except the crossword on the back of the Daily Flail!

Fantastic game, great to watch.

Almost felt sorry for the SA team , I thought Gibbs was unlucky. But then we diddrop three or four catches too.

Great cricket, Imagine if thorp, harmy, anderson and freddy with the bat and played anything like a decent game !

is it just me or does everyone admire and loathe pollock at the same time. respect his bowling but I just don't like the guy.
