Sony Ericsson S700i
Discussion
I don't know if this is the right forum, but if a mod could move it to the correct one, thanks.
Anyway Sony Ericsson S700i. I got one last night, but i am now having problems trying to set it up with emails and with MMS.
Is there anyone else out there with one of these phones and it also on the O2 network?
Would be great if i could get some help.
thanks

I've got an S700i on O2, but have yet to set it up for email. Doubt I will ever use it for email. Let me know how you did it if you get there
However, in your posted information pack from O2
it explains how to set it up for MMS. Yes you can download the settings from the website, but I went the traditional route of following the instructions for texting them. It's a series of about 4 texts (which they shouldn't charge you for) and you accept the settings they send back to you. Did it in two minutes.
Brilliant phone! I am so pleased with it - the 262K display is simply in another league. Mp3player, radio, give decent quality thru the Sony earphones and the speaker is LOUD. Phone book and filemanager are easy to use and manipulate. The standard games and apps are very good but do yomp the battery. Have now got decent battery performance after four or five full recharges.
The camera is excellent (in phone terms) as long as you hold it still, but night mode is pointless unless snapping still subjects. Black and white mode works well and the 'spot metering' is really handy. I have found that the pics come in between 180Kb and 350Kb on the 1280x960 resolution. So it can take about 130 photos on the memory stick. Might get a bigger one soon.... Would prefer a higher resolution video capture though.
As usual for SonyEricsson I have found it to be solidly built and a more intuitive experience than a Nokia.
Enjoy and good luck!

i got it working on the P800 i had before. I tried to copy the setting over, but its not having it. It keeps asking me to input a name for the mailbox? (stumped)
Now waiting for the guys at O2 to call me back, that was 30mins ago, i'll give it another hour then i will call them back.
As soon as i get the email working i will update this thread.
