Again with the car.
What is wrong with society.
I go in the house to fetch a pair of pointed nose plyers as my brake lights aren't working on the Chim, must of been, at most, 2mins. Come back out to find that some shit has keyed the car, again.

Car was first keyed a few months back and again now. Why? This is really gut renching and makes me want to go round ripping the heads of all the little chavs out there.
I really don't know how to break it to the wife as its her P&J, luckly we havn't yet got the car repainted from the first keying, but its not the point. Some has walked pass and put another mark acorss the bonnet (one there already), marked the front passenger wing and boot.
in 2 minutes! were they waiting or something?

Going to sell the car once i have it re-sprayed, there is no point having a nice car no more.
If i get it done through insurance its going to cost my £700 in excess. Anyone know of a place that will be able to do it for cheaper, but yet still do a good job. The sooner i sell the car the less i have to worry about. God only know what the state of the car would of been now if it wasn't paked in a garage.

Really ed off. w*nker the lot of them.

My condolences mate - this is a really st thing to happen, and it is so costly for such a mindless little act of stupidity!

Without wanting to sound too drastic but have your considered moving house!!! Even if you buy a battered old mondeo its still going to really ps you off if some little scumbag scrote keeps scratching it every time you decide to stop watching it for two minutes.

Absolutely right, and you can drive past any number of chavs to demonstrate, what your thoughts are in the neighbourhood, you keep it mate, I lost one front badge, and another partially ripped off overnight outside home, in first year of ownership, but a proximity-alarm on the car (beeps if peole to close)
would appear to have sorted this ever since

Seeing a nice car makes some people aspire to owning one and they work hard to gain it. Others are just jelous and lazy tossbags who think they need to either destroy your P&J or deprive you of it.

can't really move house. We moved into this place in March (last year) and it's has been gutted and done up. Still parts of the house that need attention and we don't have the money to move, espically as Mrs D3ano now has the idea of wanting a child.
The car is going to have to go. I still get my kicks out of the bike, but i can't live with the fact that it can't be parked outside for 2 fking minutes without some little shit wanting to have a go at it.

With the child in mind (what am i letting myself in for), the mrs now wants a 4x4 (Pajaro/ shogun). It will also save us a bit of money in the long run too, as it won't drink so much bloody petrol (she uses the car to do a 50 mile round trip everyday)

So do i get the car re-sprayed through insurance and pay the £700excess? Or is there a company out there that the PH collective know about that will do sterling job on the car for less than that?

Truly gutted.

How many panels, what type of paint etc? What car is it?

700 quid should get you a bonnet respray so I wouldn't think insurance was worth it.

Also can't you get a gate or are you parked on the road?

Some little sh*ts did the same to mine last May, causing £2500 of repairs, scratched every panel, ripped the roof and nicked every badge.

Thankfully, my insurance picked it up (after trying to wriggle out of it) and I paid £400 excess and a couple of years NCB.

Anyway, I've solved my problem by renting a garage 5 minutes walk from my home. I feel as if the sh*ts have won, as I'm spending £100 a month to stop them from doing it again... but at least they can't! Since my car has been off road, two other nice cars in my street have had them same treatment, so I think the £100 has been worth it.

I am going to dread seeing her face tomorrow when the car comes out of the garage. really don't know what to say to her. Hopefully it won't be as bad as last time, she was histerical, as there are already marks on the car, but its still shit to see. I hope that bastard falls under a bus and dies the cu*t.

I wss going to ask if you have a garage, but I see from your last post that you do.

If you decide to keep it just make sure you don't park it on the road, also if you haven't got a leccy door opener it's worth getting one so you can drive it straight in.

Sorry to hear that boss.

It's not just serious sports cars mate.

A friend in Bristol drives a 2001 Celica 140. A blue one. Nice wheels, that's about it, but he's 22 and it's his pride and joy.

Went to the cinema, came back to discover that someone had keyed every panel down to the primer.

If he claims, he loses 2 years NCB and at 22 he'll struggle to insure it. He can't afford the respray out of his own pocket.

About 5 years ago, someone keyed my brown 1983 Opel Rekord - worth about £50.

Wankers, the lot of them.

What you need to do is get it to a trusted fibreglass handling body shop and get a quote, simple as that. If all the panels need spraying I think its going to come in over 700 (dunno if its a pearl etc, that complicates things), but you also have to factor in the insurance loading on top of that in the future.

You may get lucky and find most of the damage polishes out. I had a nasty looking scratch on my Elise from a stone on the roll bar cover, but body shop polishing compound all but removed it.

Appalling, sorry to read that this has happened (again). Just wanted to offer sympathy and solidarity having had the same kind of experience.

The idiot that did it has 5h1t for brains for sure.

Trouble is, if you catch the little angels, and give 'em a hiding, plod nicks you, detain them in a citizens arrest, and plod nicks you(similar situations a couple of times). Can some of our BiB members explain the logic in this?

The sooner we get a government to stand up for the rights of the victims the better

I am truly sorry for the damage to your car and the way it makes you feel.
I can honestly say I know exactly what it feels like.
But I have a way of dealing with this anger; I have two movies on DVD.
The first is Death Wish with Charles Bronson, and the second is a lesser known, but every bit as good movie called Falling Down with Micheal Douglas.
You can sit and watch the scum really getting justice and cheer the heroes on without getting yourself in trouble.
You have no idea how good it makes you feel, even although it's fantasy!
It would appear from both these films that the law in the States is just as impotent at dealing with these kind of problems as it is here.

Has someone got it in for you ? My Alpina bonnet was keyed very deeply, got it resprayed then 2 weeks later the entire car *apart* from the bonnet was done, whole offside, bootlid and nearside. 230 for the bonnet and 650 for the car. Insurance excess a monkey so no point claiming. If it helps the pi55ed off feeling subsides until you see anyone milling about your car....
