Just seen this letter in the "Honest John" section

"The carpet in the boot of my 1992 TVR Griffith has come unstuck. Do you think this is a warning that the company's notorious unreliability is about to strike? Should I trade it in for a 2005 model or just glue the carpet back and keep the car for another 12 exciting years?
D.W., Edinburgh

Stick the carpet down and use any glue left over to fix your fingers in a crossed position. "

Is DW anyone here?

To be honest I think the Mail is closer to the way more people think than the Guardian, for example. The Mail alternately makes me nod sagely in agreement, and vomit.

I read the Telegraph and Sun normally...

There's nothing like writing to a newspaper letters column

and some more stuff

I quite like writing to 'Private Eye' (got about a 50% published rate)

Following on from Yertis.....

I read the Mail most days since it is the single most thrown away paper by the airlines and we get to raid the paper disposal skip. As for the food disposal skip.......draw your own conclusions!

If I had a 1992 Griff and the only problem was a bit of carpet coming unstuck, I'd consider myself the luckiest man alive!

Every saturday when I return with the papers from the papershop I cheerily call out to Mrs Thestag "they ran out of Newspapers so I got you the Mail!"

Fing comic but the misses does love that sort of mindless crap.
