I've converted the radio stations from Grand Theft Auto: Vice City into MP3s, just need a player for the car now. ![]()
V-Rock: for guys who wear name tags to work!
- I've got the V-Rock CD I listen to some times. "Only sissies cry - real men stand out in the rain, and listen to this!"
In the car I usually keep MDs for longer journies, but if I'm just around Manchester and there's nothing in particular on I listen to Century 105 (the radio station Chorley FM in Phoenix Nights is based on
- but they have a much wider selection of music compared to just about everyone else)There are no radio stations in existence which play my required instensity and indeed quality, of hard & heavy rock/metal.
There is a DAB station which is almost there but is peppered by offensive AOR which dilutes the necessary purity.
Tommy Vance used to do it right, until about 1983/4 when the MTV generation overcommercialised, polluted and effectively murdered metal.
I blame an unholy trinity of ZZ Top, Bon Jovi & a mindless acceptance of the then utterly past it antipodeans, AC/DC.
The concept of regional radio with it's inevitable band of unrealistically chirpy presenters, scandalous allegiance to paptastic dung sound and overwhelming promotion of painful, low frequency grunting from da hood leaves me yearning for the tortuous rigours of Chinese water music.
