Anyone had any? And what would you have if you could?

When I was a lot younger, one of my older cousins had a snake, but it died a long while back now (in the '80s I think). A mate of mine has a weird housemate who keeps some odd variety of ants (not sure why).

I don't know why, but in an ideal world I'd like to have a zoo-style tank/ice shelf for some little penguins. I've absolutely no idea why, I just find them fascinating animals, I think they look cute and the installations they have for keeping penguins in look really neat and stylish.

I'd also have a shark tank, purely because I've been watching too many Bond films

What takes your fancy?

Uncles can be interesting to watch as well.

Actually I've always wanted a Caracal. A N. African desert cat. Or maybe a Fennec Fox.

I had snakes when I was younger, brilliant pets, scare the hell out of peg selling pikies too.

I'd like a white tiger, I'd walk it in the park near me and laugh as it ate all the yorkshire terrier type stuff.

I have a leopard gecko. Used to have two, but the other one snuffed it.

Great to start off with, but the novelty wore off about two years ago. Really must get rid of her.....

Would love to have an avery with a couple of owls (yeah yeah, hooters!) and an eagle or two.

Also a panther or leopard.

You could take it for walks around the local council estate. Save on food bills too i'd imagine :

I have two Leopard Geckos too and a polecat ferret, used to have another ferret an albino but that died just before the new year.

I have had snakes and two chickens and guinie pigs.

I have also lost interest in the geckos and wouldnt mind something a bit bigger like a T-REX or mabey a teradaktal (s?) to stop my neibours pigeons from crapping on my bike everytime i wash it.

Ive got a dog and a cat too.

A friend of mine had a pet magpie, he lived on a farm and found it injured or rejected from the nest or something and brought it up, it was very tame and he even made some money from it when the two of them had parts in the TV program taggert as extras.

I think a wolf would be a fantastic pet, or a pack of them.

If I had a vast amount of cash (and a house, truth be told), I'd put a big conservatory on the back with a swimming pool in it. The swimming pool would be lined with mirrors and have a large tropical fish tank running down the middle of it. Couple that with a dark wood floor and subdued lighting on a hot summer night with a glass of wine at the poolside - I can't think of many things more luxuriantly relaxing.

I know of someone who has a huge pond in their house, massive thing and they keep big fish like Koi and stuff.

Nothing particulary strange in that (other than it been in the house) but the lady of the house actually goes swimming every morning with the fishes.
