..do young lads in bodged up Metros like to think they're Colin McCrae (sp?)?
I'm sat trying to watch Marathon Man on DVD and snow's starting to lay outside. Two lads in said box are driving up one side of the stream, revving the nuts of it coming down the other then slowing to about 3 mph in order to swing the back end out about 8 inches.
If they really give it some they'll bounce of the bottom stone bridge and give everyone in the Blacksmith's a right good laugh.
I've turned the movie off due to the raucous 4 pot action going on outside...oh there they go again...wish I could post an mpeg

If the speeds involved were much higher and it was being done with style and finesse it would sound like bloody good fun to me, assuming they are only putting themselves in danger, not anyone else.

Its cold here and snowed earlier, I think a bit of RWD L200 action will be in store in the morning if it snows some more.

Because it's bloody good fun - stop being such an old curmudgeon and try to remember when you were young and stupid

Then go out there and show them how it's done

Snow is great. You can get rediculous slides at low speeds. I remember last winter I was sledding a logging road a few miles out of town. On the river road below us you could watch a guy in a MK1 golf pulling handbrake spins off the road and into a field. He went back and forth for a good half hour. Normally I'd be much annoyed by that sort of foolishness, but it was in the middle of nowhere and the worst that could happen is getting stuck.

Hmmm sounds to me like youve never done 50 mph plus across an empty carpark.....sideways! in the snow!.....
Darned good fun and only you get hurt if you screw it up.

Go show em how to do it the right way!

You CAN get ridiculous slides at slow speeds but like I said, these lads were having difficulty getting 8 inches.
And, just from a non laxxer point of view, how about peoples cars parked up alongside where they are attempting their manouvres. Are they not at risk? Or is it OK because it's in the name of 'having fun'?
Icy, empty car parks? Great, go for it.

Just need to give them time to get their courage up, and get a feel for it.
