Colleague at work sold his 4.5 Cebra to a company, can I disclose the name of it on here ? I know the name of it anyway.

The guy went bankrupt after he'd sold the car and thus has not paid up.

So my colleague is left to pay off the credit agreement on this Cerbra that he hasn't had for 6 months etc and this guy has made off with the money.

What can he do ? He sort of knows where the person lives also.

If he's sold the car to a company and the company is in receivership he is an unsecured creditor unless he had a retention of title agreement when he sold the car.

Possesion being 9/10 of the law if he knows where it is he could take possesion and argue about it later.

then a polite knock on his door with a sledge hammer seems to be the order of the day.

why did your friend part with the vehicle before he had cleared funds?

Then go and take goods to the value of.....

Don't steal them though, hold them securely somewhere as surity on the debt. Tell them you will happily return the goods on payment of the money.

There must be some old law you can invoke on this, surely.

So your colleague at work sold the car 6 months ago and still hasn't got the money?

He didn't get the cash before he signed over the V5 etc?

Was he born yesterday?

He sold the car to a fleet company, well a dealer to the rest of us.

The dealer sold the car on / didn't give him the money / went bust all in one day etc.

Does sound a bit dodgy all round
