It has just been released on the news that the terrorists have been released! Just what is this Government doing? Why didn't we shoot these F*****s when they were shooting at our troops abroad?
More shame on the Labour Government; this poor state of affairs would not of happened in Mrs Thatcher's day!

What terrorists? Or do you know more than the American and British governments combined? If you know something, then FFS get in touch with someone in authority so that they can be re-arrested and your evidence put before them.

Because they werent. If they were then maybe they would have got shot, or charged with something concrete. But as two of them were in Pakistan and another in Africa and nowhere near British troops, what would you like? a fit up?

It bloody well would have done, and with even more gung ho. We would probably be in Iran already with GW by now. Thatcher would have made Blair look like the French
Much as I would like to think these blokes are bad to the bone because they are 'dodgy looking arabic types' we dont actually have much to go on, other than a 'gut' feeling. But because we are the good guys, that isnt enough, so off home they go.

Well who knows, and if we were in Thatch's days, who would have cared? Shoot first, ask questions later. Due process, what's that? Innocent until proven guilty, sorry what is that concept all about?
Sarcasm aside, it's all very well to talk as if we lived in the time of the vikings, but in reality, if it were any of us who was accused, I am sure we would like to think we could have access to a decent legal system.
As for the alleged terrorists, maybe they are guilty, maybe not. The lack of evidence is telling. The problem is that the Afghans were offered $5000 for each "taliban" they delivered to the US army. Of course, that is a LOT of money over there, and some of these guys would have sold their grandmothers for that amount.
Some of the alleged terrorists were not even in the same country. One was living inside Pakistan, and another Zambia.

Have you not read a word that all the posters here have said? Are you not capable of understanding a simple concept? There is NO evidence against these guys, some of them weren't even combatants, some of them weren't even in the same country.
If you went abroad and were fitted up for a crime, then held and tortured for 3 years, I'd love to see you come out with this b*llshit bravado then.

You seem to be suffering from a lack of understanding...
The bad guys are still locked up or being presecuted right now.
The guys they are letting go are being released because there is zero grounds for proving they did anything wrong other than happen to have Arab skin and a prediliction for wearing baggy clothing. In short - there are no grounds under law to prosecute them.

Again, not relevant. The SAS knew who the target was, and well done to them. Very different to shooting 'anyone who happened to be Irish' and in the area.

The same applies to these 4; they should of been shot where they were found. The Americans will hopefully learn from their mistakes next time.

Ok, just get this thru your head, once and for all. The "suspects" were not all found in Afganistan, and there was no evidence to link these people with terrorism. It's not that difficult a concept to understand is it?
