Do you have any secrets?

In my particular job (selling companies, primarily) there is an awful lot of psychology involved, it's probably about 80% psychology and 20% mathematics. One has to gauge how hard to push a buyer without losing them. Accordingly, about once a quarter I invite psychologists to give training to the various negotiators (body language, lie-detection, etc..) Very useful, I’ve found it to be. Apparently, a lot of the principles are successfully employed by the police when interviewing crime suspects.
Anyway, I was having lunch with one particular psychologist recently, who also does personal counselling as a sideline. I was chatting to him about this and he said, in general “a person’s problem is as big as their secret”. Once the secret has been revealed the problem becomes surmountable. Similar to the saying “a problem shared is a problem halved”, I guess.
So here goes: As a service to society, I’m offering the chance for PH’ers to “share their secrets” – all in the name of “self improvement”.
I will watch with interest!
