A quick question for those of you that have had children/ wives had children...

Cravings, when do they usually kick in if you have them. I am 22 weeks gone and think I have just got my first craving.

...cadbury's cream eggs, had one for lunch but now all I can think about is having another one and another, its all that's filling my mind so far this afternoon.

Anyone's wife had odd cravings that you have been sent out for?

Wanting a creme egg isn't a craving! That's perfectly normal.

I constantly crave creme eggs. And now I think about it, I have been getting fatter recently

My top (creme egg related) tip of the day: stick 'em in the freezer for a couple of hours

What about wanting to eat loads one after each other, and wanting one so bad you can't think of anything else?

Coca Cola and pickled onions. Not necessarily at the same time.

I'd rather have had a Creme Egg addiction!

My ex's was mince pies.

She'd get the bus to work each morning, stop off at a local bakers and get 6 of them for breakfast. She never realised until someone pointed it out. Just carried on, oblivious....

The wife's cravings involved her eating rather more normal food combinations than she did before pegnancy

(eg she will, if left to her own devices, normally put salt on pineapple, but sugar on tomatoes!)

My g/f is about 22 weeks gone now (due around the 7 June I think) she likes a fry up in the mornings, but we dont have time for that before work so she waits for the weekend and has one on a saturday, at the local cafe.

Fruitcake, apparantly you crave the things that contain nutrients that your body needs, I have no idea if this is true, but I never needed iron tablets and there is loads of iron in dried fruit.
