I'm planning a flydrive on the west coast, July or Sept this year for 2 weeks.

Any recomendations from the PH collective for suggest routes/must see's etc etc?

The rough plan is LA for a few days then pick a car up, leaving 12 days (maybe 14) for travelling. My favourite so far is
LA
Las Vegas
Salt Lake/Rocky Mountains
San Francisco

but i'm open to advice/opinions...

Scotties Castle! It's in the middle of Death Valley but drivable from Vegas in the day.

Include Grand Canyon, Yosemite and Sequoia National Parks on the trip. You can pass through Palm Springs.

If you do go to Salt Lake City you must see the Tabernacle Choir, even if you are not particularly religious.

You must drive Pacific Highway One. Hearst castle at San Simeon is excellent.

If you're going to the Salt Lake City, then you might consider going out to Moab. The Arches National Park is amazing. And being America, they conveniently have parking lots next to each Arch...

The Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park are good too.

If you can get three weeks over there, it's the best bit of the olde USA make sure you book accom in advance for popular stuff like Yosemite/Grand Canyon.
