Hotels in Singapore

Never having stayed in a hotel there I am not sure where to go. I am sure a few of you have been so where to stay?
1. In for one night.
2. No budget.
3. Need to razz it up as it were.
4. High security, no street level dining/windows. Basically no chance for photographers to be a pain in the arse.
Cheers,
MARA

If you want to be off the ground try the Stamford. Tallest hotel in the world and has restaurant on floors 69 and 70!

I have stayed at the Shangri-La.
Fantastic hotel.
Service almost up to the level of Eddie Murphies pool attendants in 'Coming to America', where one of them surfaces from the pool to announce,'The Royal penis is now clean your highness'.
I had to get the missus to do mine....
Only joking.

I have stayed at Raffles and you simply must do it.
Its the sort of hotel where if you were bothered by paparazzi they'd have them beaten up for you...no opportunity to offer service is missed...
Westin Stamford is OK. Stayed there. Oh...and I'm trying to remember which hotel is modelled on an upturned boat...amazing place and inexpensive by Singapore standards...
I love Singapore. Been on business many times. Even holidayed there once. Occupies a week nicely.

Westin Stamford, great bar/restaurant on the top floors to watch the sun go down.
Raffles, absolutely top notch for everything. I'm sure they could sort out an upstairs room for you, as they've got the neck to charge about £420 quid for a shot of Louis XV brandy in the billiard bar...

If you and your friend happen to come by New Zealand I would be more than happy to take them to the middle of nowhere (plenty of it here). The Hotel is located wherever you want (full canvas and metallic construction) and it’s as many stars as you please (keep counting, there are plenty up their at night). Amenities include running water (downhill in a stream usually), Deer hide beds (The number shot is directly proportional to the amount you eat and how warm you are at night) and en-suit (you just have to climb out the “full canvas and metallic construction” room, preferably downhill also).
Shopping is good if you like agricultural goods and should you not want to be caught in a gay love triangle we have plenty of sheep (they bleat significantly less than women here). All packages include transport (your legs and if your lucky the back of a Ute). Sunglasses and baseball cap are still advised due to the UV.
Any complaints and you might get a slap from the manager.
Total cost should not be exceedingly high :-p
