Any New York based PHers on here?

We are off to NYC later on this month just wondering who is about.

Moi, although for random periods. How long will you be in town. Due back end of Feb with a big V8 slice of Blighty to boot!

Chris_w is also about although he may be back in Blighty.

You'd be right. Rarely go out of my apartment. Will rarely be in it soon. Just got to start memorising where the gigantic potholes are now.

Mara,
We are out from 10/02 for 10 days.....where to avoid....where to go?

Do I get the impression New Yorkers are miserable?

Not really, although you'd be excused for thinking so.

I think the reason why I am not a big fan of NY is because it always feels that people are trying to hard. Trying to hard to be different, to be noticed. Bascially not being themselves.

In Manhattan, some of the pricing really has to be believed. They are fully aware a lot of rich people choose to live in NY and adjust prices accordingly.

Just generalising though. Pay no attention to me as I am a bitter Englishman longing for home.

Oi, don't tip those bloody taxi drivers neither. They are the cheekiest buggers you will ever meet.
