I was listening to the Radio on the way to work this morning, at which it mentioned the rising political temperature in Iran - when I had a "moment of clarity".

Think about it: The three major enemies of the UK have/are/might be are: IRA, IRAQ, IRAN. So, if there are any other countries or organisations starting with the letters "IRA" - they'd better watch out because we're gonna destroy them!

Too right, Iraq was an enemy of the greedy Americans, and it was only an enemy cos America didn't own its oil...

Iran is not an enemy, its just a country trying to get nuclear power.

Imagine that... "Who do you work for?"

When you consider the quality of British and American intelligence, it's amazing the organisation hasn't been blown to kngdom come!

I see the German sense of irony is alive and well.

I'm sorry but you really walked into that.

No no no. Iraq is America and Britains friend! It was the reigeme of Saddam (Who we put in power), that was our enemy!

Iran....well their rep looked at Bush a bit funny at the UN the other day so they'll have to become "friends of America" as well...

Mind you I remember being told that the greatest enemies to the Royal Navy were in descending order

1. HM Government (regardless of party)
2. Chief of Air Staff for Royal Air Force
3. Ministry of Defence
4. The French
5. Whoever we happened to be at war with at the time.

Maybe no "ira" in Brussels, but pleanty of "ire".

As I've said previously, Bush is going through the "I"s at the moment. If I was in Ireland or Iceland or India, I'd be worried.
