To me this is yet another example of VW missing the point in a spectacular way. First we had a bunch of German engineers getting fat and middle aged, just like the Golf. Now they're saying the new GTI is a badly butchered parody of the original - a modern day Hollywood 're-imagining' of one of the greats, directed by McG for the MTV generation.

Theres two, I didnt like Kelly being cut up for a poxy car ad either. The cultural bankruptcy comment was spot on. Those who dont care one way or the other prove the point very well.
