Thinking back to me early childhood, I used to make my 'cars' out of furniture. There's this long stool that made a great bonnet, and I used to turn a chair on its back and slot it in behind it.

My Mum always reminds me (embarrasingly) of this, but apparently I got carried away at one point and got hold of a pencil. There used to be a chair with 'Ford' written on it, and it took a lot of scrubbing to get the 'Hillman' off the front edge of the footstool.

God I was juvenile (but I would've been about 3. And I've been a petrolhead ever since...)
