Yep I have! I can't remember off hand the type of ticket I had, but the viewing was excellent and it was possible to get good track photos - will look it up for you.

No such thing as the Barcelona Grand Prix.

There is, of course, the Spanish Grand Prix held at the Circuit de Catalunya near Barcelona

I'm planning on going with a few Spanish mates from Barcelona.

I'm getting seats on the first corner as I want to see all the starting shunts.

As said above, 1st corner is great. get to see any shunts and also get a good view as the cars disappear up the hill, as well as seeing them come tearing down from the start line.

I went last year, and had a great time, barcelona knows how to party

They've changed the layout on the last corner complex, instead of the cars braking from a long back straight into a long sweeping left hander, they now brake sharply, turn a sharp left, drive about 50 yards along a small straight section, and then rejoin the old section of circuit to turn along a long sweeping right.

There will be a fair potential for overtakes at this complex now, when I was there in January lots of drivers were braking late and understeering badly while turning that sharp left (although the tarmac was new).

There are LOADS of grandstands in that area, and just behind the seats are plenty of stalls for food etc.

If you hunt around (4180 onwards) you can find some piccies around the circuit that might give you an idea of good places to be.

Look at image 4208 to see where I mean, although that picture is from the inside of the circuit, you can't sit there
