Hi all,

I'm trying to get a phone number from an address and half a name.

Basically, found a suitcase out by the garages at the back of the flats, contains lots of kid's school books and dressing up stuff. Have a feeling it may have been pinched from a house/garage and thief went through it at back of our flats. There's an old airport tagger on the suitcase (never even been played ) with an address and an unclear name.

Short of driving round to the address is there anyway that I can get a phone number with that info? I have scanned similar names in the phonebook but to no avail...

Jinx, that's great, sadly nothing there.

Ideally I would be able to see who search by address, but I guess I won't be able to do that

haven't really got time at the mo, just wanted to let owner know.

Even odder, have looked at a couple of exercise books/school reports, found name of kid (different surname) and school (also local) - books look to be 2 years old or so. No joy on searching her name either.

Reckon the cop shop will be interested if I take it down?

You have the address, just send them a letter.

Anyone know of anywhere else where I can search the electoral roll on the net rather than going to the town hall?

Hand it in to the school. Job done.

I had by bag stolen from my car when I was a student. A week later all my notes were returned to the front desk in a carrier bag. The thief had kept the bag, text books, etc. but obviously had a shred of decency in returning my notes.

I got a ticking off from a shirty porter about leaving my stuff lying around when I came down to collect it though.
