Comic Strip Presents.......

Been watching these on Paramount, but missed the one with a scene which sticks in my memory...

Robbis Coltrane stomping along a breakwater carrying a briefcase with waves crashing over him and "Two Tribes" playing loudly in the background.

Can anyone put me out of my misery and tell me what the episode was called?

The breakwater in question is in the middle distance, much calmer day though.

I think this is on in the next few days. i remember setting Sky+ to record it.

Agreed, all brilliant stuff.

Here's one for you; anyone remember Roland Rivron as Doctor Scrote? Yes? On Jonathon Ross's old Friday night show? OK then, did anyone see the series he did, including Doctor Scrote, called Set of Six, about the 6 Scrote sextuplets (the idea being that Doctor Martin Scrote was one of 6 brothers)?

It was 6 "fly-on-the-wall" style "documentaries" followin g the (mis)fortunes of each brother. One was a doctor (of course), one a photographer, a boxer, a supergrass and I can't remember the others....

It was one of the funniest things on TV. A mate had it on VHS (taped from the TV) but alas its whereabout are now unknown.

I remember that. Class. One was a tramp, who was I think an ex conservative MP. Walking around london pished saying"Vote conservative!"

There was tons of good stuff. David "Top Shot" Scrote, the photographer had me pissing myself. The scene were he gets a funeral gig but thought it was supposed to be a wedding and he has the coffin propped up in the middle with the family on either side, saying to the mother "lets see some tears, come on, its a sad occasion....just a couple of tears for the camera...."

And he says "try to look surprised, like you didn't know he was going to die...."

So wrong, but so funny.....

That's a great clip from The Supergrass,and not to mention a dangerous one for Coltrane to film . It took a lot of balls to walk out on that breakwater in that whether. That said , Mr Jolly Lives Nextdoor is still the Comic Strips finest film.
