Was just thinking, I need insurance for my new phone. I spilt beer on one in the pub the day I got it, lost a few others... have killed/lost 4 or more in total over the years and I cant not insure the one I ordered today having spent £420 on it including the memory card

How do I get insurance though? Contract providers provide insurance, but I dont have (and dont want) a contract. Im going to get a pay as you go sim tomorrow, but that wont come with insurance, will it??

I was hoping to go with 02

Erm, anyone recommend any particular network for the best pay as you go deals?

And where do you get sim cards. Im sure the local vodaphone shop will have vodaphone, but are there any highstreet chains who offer a full range and impartial advide?

It was sim free (I dont want a contract, that usually bumps the price) and I got a rebate from ye olde vat man for about the same amount today

Get a phone on a contract and it is FREE!! Plus inclusive minutes and texts. Contract is for a year, at end of year upgrade and get a new phone for FREE. Contract price (well mine) £20 p/m which = £240 p/a including 200 mins per month!!

I saw that I only text in life/death/beer situations. If I want to speak to someone I'll phone em. Its only really insurance and call prices im interested in

if you call o2 they will provide insurance on a pay as you go phone as long as you pay upfront for the insurance, it works out to be about £3 a month IIRC
