Driving a 1.2 litre Clio along a country lane behind a very, very timidly driven Fiesta, and infront of an MR2...

Would you pull out to overtake the Fiesta, without signalling, despite the fact that the MR2 was indicating its intention to overtake first, due to the fact that you (the Clio driver) were being incredibly hesitant?

But it wasn't your turn to overtake!

Happens about every 10 miles to me. I kind of expect it these days.

But it didn't look like they were going to do anything!

They only pulled out when I started to move.

This happened to me a couple of weeks ago while I was overtaking - had to go right to the edge of the road and overtake the first car and the car overtaking it. Bit scary.

I know, I was only kidding. This was a complaint I once received - apparently you have to wait until each person in front has decided whether or not to overtake before you can. If they decide not to, you have to wait behind, apparently.

Quite cool though, in a vaguely Hollywood kind of way!

I see this every day.
In the 106 (1.5diesel) VERY slow. I wait until all cars have passed me and road is clear before overtaking, as I know I may be holding someone up. In the MX, I'm normally the first one to overtake, so it's not a big deal.

Me too - its got to the stage where I overtake a line of traffic with my hand poised over the horn. Almost.

Following 'em all a while ago.

The "Clio" was so startled when she saw the "MR2", she swerved left and nearly exited through a dry stone wall on the Snake.....

Wouldn't have been a problem if you had a turbo mate! You'd be past before he'd even blinked!

My, aren't we swish...I'd rather not drive anything with <200bhp/ton but sometimes you have to make sacrifices.

Bugger, eh?
