Piston Heads goes downhill.
Discussion
Gratuitous mindless insults have become the norm, what happened to intelligent reasoned discussion?
On Camilla:
pug406: "she's pot ugly"
JMGS4: "he can marry his camel" and "Royal Whore"
DeltaFox: "marrying his horse"
nonegreen: "she is the state slut"
On Ellen:
nutcase: "I think she's a carpet munching twat"
This is not the Pistonheads I know and love. These people really should be ashamed of themselves, no matter what their opinion there is no excuse for behaving in such an ignorant manner.

Brucie the thing is the freedom of speech automatically includes the right to insult.
Take Mr. Blair for example - I can and will insult him and his party for as long as they scre things up. For those who don't like miss Parker-Bowles, it's an easy target. And why not, she's in the public eye and therfore going to be open to it.
Just because people throw insults doesn't mean that PH is going downhill.

I've not read the thread but I agree in principle on the 'quality' of some of the language.
I only have net access on my work's pc which censors quite heavily and there's an increasing number of pages which I can't get access to. There is no need to swear in writing (even if provoked), and if quoting swear words from elswhere, appropriate mis-spellings can be used to very good effect.

I agree with here! However bLIAR deserves insults!

There is of course no such thing as free speech on here. We are all playing by the rules as set by Ted, and enforced by him and the moderators.
Personally I find myself spending less time reading the forums here because of the insults, and the use of swear words.
Reasoned debate by intelligent people does not need insults.
I'd like to think I'd never say anything on PH which I wouldn't say to someone's face but the anonymity of the 'net is an easy shield to hide behind.
It just seems that with some companies it's OK to slag them off to the hilt just cos you can and they're multinationals/large companies but have a proper grievance you've been through with a company (usually car related) and naming isn't allowed.
Perhaps they're not potential advertisers.
Surely the rules should apply across the board ...
Be dull as hell on here sometimes though ...
Mind you, to Ikea's legal team, some of the stuff earlier was just libellous.
