The French got away with murder - persistently offside, lying all over the ball and handling in the rucks to prevent quick release. The referee was the same chap who did everything he could to stop us winning the world cup, and he just turned a blind eye to everything that went on. And Charlie Hodgson is a choker. Am now in a filthy mood...

About time we met there for a philosophical discussion on the demerits of shifty frogs, one-eyed New Zealanders and deficient Northern fly-halfs...

I did have a girlfriend called Holly once, but she wasn't hirsute and certainly not the brawling type.

My girlfriend's a greenshirt. If she carries on with her current line of conversation following this weekend's rugby results, you may find yourself attending our house in a professional capacity !

They don't realise, Rugby is a sacred subject. My wife is the same....She's english, well, Portuguese really, and I'm welsh. She thinks it hilarious when wales lose....must admit, I am quite surprised with the performance so far....

At least we might beat Italy.
Scotland played against France away better than we did at home so we will probably loose against them.
Ireland are inspired this season, we stand no chance there on current showing.
Having has a world class front row for as long as I can remember it is embarassing for them to just be average. Likewise the back row. Bring Neil Back out of retirement. Richard Hill is mightily missed.
Is Johnny the only fly half in England, on current selection you would think so? We obviously don't have a fit no.9.
Jason should be on the wing. We need a more traditional fullback and as captain he didn't seem to have any ideas today. We just gave the game away to them.
Also is the person we are missing most Clive Woodward? Could be.

THe person we are missing most is Martin Johnson (painful though it is for me to admit, as a Bath fanantic). All we needed today and last week was some calm and authoritative leadership. However, the sooner we can get Johnny Wilkinson back in number 10 shirt the better...

No he didn't, he penalised France constantly - and they thoroughly deserved it. The only sense in which you could argue France "got away" with it was because of the ineptitude of the English kickers in turning the stream of penalties into points.

There were also a number of decisions he should've given France's way, but didn't, although Elhorga should definitely have seen the yellow card for throwing the ball into touch when under pressure. O'Brien identified it as a professional foul, so why didn't he walk?

So many of the recent matches have been lost by careless play, but would have been won despite that with a consistent kicker. They miss the solidity that Johnson brought and, of course, they miss JW. They have the talent, but they are not putting it into play for 80 minutes of every match. This is how they were a few years ago before they got their well-oiled World Cup machine squeezing out win after win.
